A career opportunity has arisen in the role of New Business Underwriting Line Manager in the Underwriting Personal Lines Department in  Pretoria

 

Principal Accountabilities:

·          Ensure quality underwriting of new business

·         Liaise with brokers regarding new business

·         Liaise with insurers regarding mandates

·         Manage loss ratio of new business

·         Audit of new business of brokers

·         Handling of queries of brokers regarding new business

·         Manage staff effectively

·         Training of staff to ensure competent underwriters

·         Oral and written communication as needed

·         Interpersonal skills

·         Numeric skills

·         Managerial skills

 

Minimum Requirements:

·         Matric

·         Relevant Insurance qualification

·         5-6 years personal lines short term experience

·         A minimum of 90 credits is requirement

·         FAIS Compliant

·         Microsoft Office – especially Excel and Word
