Job Description

We currently have a position available for a Qualified Human Resources Operations Executive in the Corporate Division. The successful applicant will be responsible to develop and maintain a partnership relationship with the different HR units’ staff to ensure effective implementation of hr practices ensuring value adding practices across the segments.     

In conjunction with CEO and Strategic Organisational Development Consultant – it is the responsibility of the HR Operational executive to ensure that HR as a line function is set up to create differentiated, long term value. The HR Operational executive should position HR as a business partner to assist in the attainment of business strategy and objectives. Largely, HR should be a line function with the HR Operational executive, supporting and coordinating the implementation of HR policies, programmes, operations and technology.

 

LEVEL OF COMPLEXITY: Business Unit Strategy

 

BUSINESS RESULTS

·         Establish, optimise and manage an efficient and effective HR service delivery model consisting of:

·         People Management Practice ( inter alia recruitment-, performance management -, employment equity, training and skills

·         development,

·         HR Operations Services ( inter alia assessment centre, employee relations )

·         HR technology

·         HR Programme Management Office

·         Ensure implementation of HR initiatives/projects in response to business requirements/opportunities and in order to deliver on the

·         people strategy

·         Take ownership to ensure that all elements of the HR value chain are adding value to the business – identify and implement opportunities to improve service delivery

 

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

·         Develop and maintain a partnership relationship with the different unit’s HR staff to ensure effective implementation of HR practices ensuring value adding practices across the segments

·         Build and maintain solid relationships with fellow executives and business owners to best promote compliance with and application of the HR service delivery model

·         Serve as a member of the Momentum Exco

·         Participate in industry bodies and build networks to promote the overall people agenda in the country

 

Job Requirements

·         Strong working knowledge of integrated Human Resources methodologies, processes and practices

·         Strong management and leadership expertise

·         In-depth understanding of system implementation

·         Sound knowledge of relevant legislation

·         Able to understand system and process changes and translate into employee and business impact

·         Postgraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g. Social Sciences, Human Resources, MBA).

·         Exposure to HR Operations Management and MIS is preferable 

·         Minimum 5-10 years experience in senior/executive HR leadership role of a medium decentralised organisation (with over 4000   employees)

·         If limited experience in running HR, experience in leading a complex, people centred business, with a clear ability and capability to deliver superior people, engagement, commitment and alignment to business strategy

·         Experience in building a true value adding business partnership model for HR

·         Experience operating at Management level

·         Experience in management of a human resources function

·         Experience in business transformation preferable

·         Experience in the implementation, optimization of human resource practices

·         Experience in reporting (Employment Equity, Skills development ) 

·         Experience in MIS
