Brief Description

An exciting and challenging career opportunity is currently available in the Forensics Division for an expert within the Auditing discipline. The Forensic System Analyst contributes to the organisational goals by determining IT and IT-related risks through a formal process, and recommending compensating controls in line with business deliverables.

 

Detailed Description

Key accountability areas included in the domain of this position, are:

 

1.       Customer Results:

  • Continuous Monitoring and Auditing
  • Follow-up, investigation and resolution of anomalies identified
  • Resolve all customer related conflict timeously

2.       Personal Competence and Innovation Results:

  • Undergo such training as necessary to keep up to date with changes in IT and IT related environment

 

3.       Relationship and Customer Results:

  •          Develop and maintain successful working relationships with relevant stakeholders within the Company Group

 

 4.       Innovation Results:

  • Identify opportunities to implement continuous monitoring and auditing procedures.
  • Develop and implement continuous auditing process from analytic design to final report stage

 

 5.       Operational / Technical / Financial Results:

  •         Draft internal audit reports that comply with the standards of the department
  •         Ensure audits are performed in line with department audit plan
  •         Consult on improvements within scope of job, and make recommendations for improvements

 

Job Requirements

The successful incumbent for the above position will have the following profile:

 

·                  Principles of IT auditing

·                  Principles of risk management

·                  Thorough understanding of IT environment including:

o  Mainframes, PC's, networks (hardware)

o  Software and change controls

·                  Understanding of risks and materiality

  • Working knowledge of CAAT (Computer Assisted Audit Techniques)

 

 

·         Well developed investigative skills

·         Problem solving ability

·         Ability to reach sound and logical conclusions based on presented evidence

·         Ability to pay attention to detail

·         Ability to work under pressure

·         Ability to work in a team and support / assist others
