An exciting and challenging career opportunity is available for an expert within the Motor Assessing discipline. The Motor Assessing Manager contributes to the organisational goals by providing a fair, accurate, reasonable and timeous assessor service (claimants, panel beaters / service providers, staff and third parties).

 

 

Key accountability areas included in the domain of this position, are:

 

1.     Operational / Technical / Financial Results:

·   Make fair, realistic and thorough assessments of damages and repair costs (motor vehicle accident claims)

·   Conduct assessments in most efficient and cost-effective manner

·   Ensure cost wastage reduction in regions

·   Manage monthly audit process, and audit results



 

2.     Leadership Results:

·   Coaching and performance management of direct reports

 

 

3.     Management Results:

·   Maximise efficiencies and service delivery of assessors against SLA’s, diary bookings etc

·   Quality management of service delivery

 

 

4.     Customer and Relationship Results:

·   Effectively build, maintain and manage relationships with service providers, colleagues and clients

·   Assess service providers’ delivery and level of integrity

·   Provide customers with efficient customer service and exceed expectations

 

 

The successful incumbent for the above position will have the following profile:

 

  • Standard 10 / Grade 12 / NQF 4 or Standard 8 / Grade 10 with Mechanical Engineering / Panel beating N2 / N3
  • 3 – 4 years experience in the following:

o Estimation

o Practical panel beating

o Assessing experience at short-term insurer

  • Knowledge of estimation and panel beating theory and processes
  • Passionate individual with strong results orientation
  • Valid driving license is essential
