The company requires the services of self motivated and technically strong actuarial students, preferably holding an Honors degree in actuarial science to augment the personal lines team as well as provision of support to 1LifeDirect, with sound numerical skills and computer literacy, especially with a good working knowledge of SAS being the enabler to handle analytical projects from “cradle-to-grave”. You will be afforded a high level of independence, responsibility and accountability by being exposed to interesting and varied tasks in a small specialised team within a successful and growing entity with ambitious plans. Your day will be mostly pricing oriented with a fair chunk of research in it. You’ll have access to leading technology in this field to aid you in your quest to deliver even more value into this dynamic entity. You’ll also be involved in reserve valuation work, client valuation and segmentation, and various other scenario evaluations and profitability impact assessments. Some experience would be beneficial. If you consider yourself self motivated with good interpersonal skills and well rounded in terms of communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure, we’d like to offer you an environment within which to make the most of that.
